Under general direction, develops and administers company safety programs.
Designs industrial safety programs in accordance with local, state and federal regulations on occupational health and safety.
Identifies, surveys evaluates and recommends correction of occupational hazards.
Recommends safety standards of handling, storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
Determines the safe use, storage and disposal of potential pollutants.
It develops safety programs to insure employee sensitivity of safe working conditions, practices and proper use of safety equipment.
Investigates accidents, analyzes root causes and recommends changes in procedures, practices, methods, environmental conditions or equipment to prevent re-occurrence.
Performs testing, develops reports and ensures compliance with governmental regulations as required.
Essential Duties:
Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes Schedule annual medical evaluations as required Data input and maintain spreadsheets for training, tailgates, certifications, fit-testing, medical evaluations Provide new hire safety orientation Perform and document testing and field audits of all safety programs Organize and perform monthly safety tailgate meetings and other safety-related training, as needed Provide day-to-day administration of safety programs; employee recognition, STOP, tailgates, safety inspections, organize monthly safety committee meetings Maintain Hazard Communication - SDS Investigate, using root cause analysis, all accidents and injuries of employees - including 'near misses' Assist Workers' Comp administrator by obtaining, tracking and organizing employee doctor appointments and return-to-work status for injured employees Coordinate and ensure timely documentation of equipment (mobile units) pre and post-checks Coordinate activities with insurance carriers and loss control representatives Audit emergency equipment and evacuation maps monthly, including mandatory signage Recommend and purchase safety-related equipment and maintain inventory Analyze job procedures & job descriptions for safety-related tasks Operate a motor vehicle Oversee all Ranch operations Organize and provide annual training for Ranch Managers Coordinate Shop inspections JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Industrial hygiene - appropriate PPE IFS Document Management Safety data sheets OSHA Regulations Hazardous Materials Management Designated Employer Representative for DOT Train, lead and motivate employees Produce detailed written reports Exercise discretion and use good judgment Analyze unsafe conditions, behaviors, and methods of work Upon notice, be able to provide corrective action to unsafe conditions PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sit for an extensive period of time Bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb Perform tasks using standard computer equipment WORK ENVIRONMENT:
