Summary:
The Bottling Finished Wine Operator 1 performs all duties as specified by the current Cellar Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) including but not limited to, machine cleaning/sanitation internal (CIP) and external, membrane filter performance, tracking and assist with maintenance, wine transfers, minor wine adjustments to required bottling specifications, assisting in equipment setup and possibly machine operation.
Communicate and coordinate with the Cellar Department Managers and Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
All tasks are defined in the cellar SOP manual and are to be performed as specified unless change is requested from your supervisor All hose and equipment lineups from assigned tank to assigned filler All line sanitation(s) including pumps, hoses, membranes and fillers Accurate wine introductions per winemaking/cellar Process Order Wine approvals from filler to Analytical lab End of tank/shift wine blow-ins using proper gases and pressures Knowledge of CIP skid and filler program management Wine reclaim management Accurately fill out all required paperwork and tracking logs Membrane filter maintenance and testing via integrity tester Filler, corker and capper internal/external sanitation as instructed Ensuring upcoming tanks have bottling approval Wine supply monitoring and gauging as necessary Equipment and grounds cleaning as assigned Assist with rinser, filler, corker and capper change-overs including required adjustments Assist in wine delivery troubleshooting and resolve Assist in wine stability troubleshooting and resolve Basic Ignition system operations Monitor Ozone levels Able to work any shift or hours need to complete job assignments and/or cover call ins Time management Able to prioritize workload Communication with supervisor & all supporting departments Monthly & weekly sanitation Depressurize tank one tank is empty Perform any other duties as assigned by Lead, Foreman, Supervisor or Manager JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/
Experience:
Previous experience in wine cellar operations is helpful but not required Good comprehension skills Good mechanical aptitude Good attitude, attendance and performance history Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Processing equipment operation Company procedures and processes Read and write and understand English Working with limited supervision Follow Standard Operating Procedures Gauge, calculate and make wine stops on tanks Receive and carry out written and verbal instructions PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasionally lift 50 lbs.
